Why does shipping cost so much – and why are there no free returns?
I ship all orders with DHL as an insured parcel—fast, reliable, and with tracking.
As a small label, I've been paying a fixed monthly fee to DHL since July 2025, in addition to the regular shipping costs – regardless of how many packages I send. In addition, there are surcharges such as tolls, CO₂, and energy, which unfortunately also change regularly.
I know that free returns and cheap shipping are often the norm these days—but in reality, this is often only possible because companies recoup these costs in other ways (e.g., through mass production, low-paid labor, aggressive pricing, etc.).
I want to calculate fairly—for myself, my work, and also for you. That's why shipping costs are transparent and honest. And that's why I unfortunately can't offer free returns.
Thank you for understanding—and appreciating my work. ❤️
If a product doesn't fit or you don't like it, you can return it within 14 days. If the size isn't right, you can also exchange it. Just send me an email to jojoscherbatsky@web.de.
Please note:
✔ Check the size charts before ordering to avoid returns.
✔ Items must be unworn and in their original packaging.
✔ You are responsible for the return shipping costs.
✔ For hygiene reasons, hair accessories and earrings cannot be exchanged.
✔ Due to personalization, items from the Mix and Match configurator are non-returnable.
If an item arrives damaged, please contact me immediately so we can find a solution.

Mix and Match Configurator
With our mix-and-match configurator, you can put together your desired product individually – it's that easy:
1. Choose your product:
First, decide on a product – e.g. T-shirt, crop top, hoodie, etc.
2. Select color & size:
Choose your favorite color and the right size. You'll find a size chart directly on the product.
3. Determine print or embroidery design:
You can decide whether you want your design printed or embroidered. For embroidery, you can also select the thread color (this won't be displayed as changed in the mockup but will be saved for your order).
4. Determine the position of the design:
You can choose between front, back or front & back print (available depending on the design).
5. Select design:
After you make your selection, a gallery of designs will open, sorted by fandom and category. Click through the sections and find the design you're looking for.
6. View preview:
The mockup shows you roughly how your design will look on the product. Please note:
- For back prints, no back view is shown.
- With double prints (front & back) the design is displayed one below the other.
- The placement in the mockup is for preview purposes only – the printing or embroidery will be correct and centered during production.
7. Price and personalization:
The price shown is based on a non-licensed print design. Depending on the selection (embroidery, licensed design, double print), the final price may increase. This will be displayed in full in your shopping cart.
8. Important for ordering:
Please note that personalized products are non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and non-refundable. Therefore, please check your selection carefully before purchasing. A size chart can be found in the product description of each item.
Please note that due to the customization of the item, cancellation, exchange and return are excluded!
Price variations: The base price shown refers to a printed, non-licensed product. If you select a licensed or embroidered design, the final price may vary. The actual price will be displayed in your shopping cart before you complete your order.
Size, Fit & Fit
For each product you will find a corresponding size chart, either as an image directly in the product view or (for products from the Mix & Match configurator) in the product description.
With the help of this table you can easily determine the right size for you.
Tip: It's best to take a piece of clothing from your wardrobe that fits you particularly well and measure it once – this way you can compare the measurements directly with my table.
For items with model photos, you'll also find information about the fit: the model's height, height, and weight, as well as the size worn – so you can get a better idea of how the item fits.
No problem! You can exchange the product within 14 days of receipt.
Just send me a short email to: jojoscherbatsky@web.de
I will find a solution together with you.
Important: Please note that personalized products from the Mix & Match configurator are excluded from exchange and return.
These are made individually for you and are therefore non-refundable.
I therefore ask you to carefully look at the size chart before ordering – so that you can enjoy your new favorite piece for a long time!
Prices
The biggest difference lies in the details – and in the honesty.
At Readers & Dreamers, you won't get generic, mass-produced fandom merchandise, but officially licensed designs that are lovingly handcrafted.
I work directly with the designers and pay fair licensing fees for each design. Furthermore, I don't print cheaply on polyester; instead, I use high-quality embroidery or sustainable printing methods—each piece contains at least 80% cotton.
Sure, on platforms like Etsy or Amazon you can often find cheaper, but also unlicensed products – which means that the authors’ copyrights are usually not respected.
I stand for quality, transparency, and fandom merch that is created with respect for the works we all love.
Our products cost more than many mass-produced items – and there are good reasons for this:
- Royalties: A portion goes directly to the authors whose work you love.
- Textile costs: We use high-quality, often fairly traded & certified textiles.
- Finishing: Whether embroidery or printing – everything is individually manufactured in Germany.
- Time & Design: Behind every design lies creative work, passion and often many hours.
- Fair payment & taxes: We calculate so that everyone is paid fairly and reserves, packaging & taxes are also covered.
We're not a large corporation—we're a passion project with genuine responsibility. Thank you for supporting us.
Processing and materials
Every garment in my shop is finished with great attention to detail:
- Printed products are printed with a high-quality DTF film.
This film ensures intense, glossy colors and long durability, even after many washes.
The print is soft to the touch and remains beautiful even with frequent use. - Embroidered products are made by me using a professional embroidery machine.
This is how long-lasting, high-quality embroidery is created with great attention to detail – not a mass product, but real craftsmanship!
I pay attention to a comfortable feel and high quality in all products:
- Most pieces are made of 80% cotton and 20% polyester – ideal for a soft feel and good shape stability.
- Some products are even made from 100% cotton – perfect for those who prefer pure natural fibers.
- The long-sleeved shirts are made from 100% certified organic cotton.
You can also find all information about the exact composition directly in the description of the respective product.
Producing 100% sustainable fashion is a challenge—especially for small brands. But I do my best to work as environmentally friendly as possible.
While large companies produce mass-produced goods, which are often
I produce exclusively to order. This way, there is no overproduction and every piece finds its home. Defective production or
Returns? They don't end up in the trash, but in our "Second
Chance” category – there you can get them at a reduced price.
Each garment is made with care and love –
and I hope you'll love it as much as I do!
In my Second Chance category, you'll find products that have minor imperfections, are sample pieces, or are returns—but would be far too good not to wear.
Instead of throwing them away, I offer them to you at a cheaper price.
This conserves resources and gives each item a second chance – in keeping with the spirit of sustainability.
